Rhys Concessao (14 years old) is a gifted, talented and prodigious child pianist from London. He has performed around the world including at the prestigious Carnegie Hall New York, Southbank Centre London, Teatr Polski Poland and other venues in France, Germany, Italy, Singapore and India. He has also had Masterclasses with maestros such as Dmitri Alexeev, Eugen Indjic, Lang Lang to name a few.
He is one of 10 pianists worldwide to have been invited to Saarlouis in Germany in March 2018 to attend masterclasses under the guidance of Prof Wolfram Schmidt-Leonardy. He will also receive master classes from Prof, Rudolf Meister, Dean of the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim and who is a luminary in German music. During his stay in Germany, Rhys will also perform in four concerts including a concerto with a leading German orchestra. The proceeds of this concert will go to a UNICEF project – Schools for Africa .
Rhys has also been invited to masterclasses in Italy and USA conducted by eminent international pianists followed by playing with leading orchestras.
Rhys needs funding to cover part of his travelling and accommodation expenses.
